Eagle Hose & Hook & Ladder Company 6 has been serving the Citizens of Ansonia since 1871. We are located at the corner of Main and East Main Streets, across the street from Farrel Company, in a two-story brick hose house we have occupied since 1904. We pride ourselves on providing high quality emergency services to the City of Ansonia for over 140 years.

Birthday Celebrations

Monday, July 11th was a special day at Eagle Hose as our oldest living member celebrated his 100th Birthday. George 'Bush' Clark was born in 1911 and joined Eagles in 1932, making him the oldest, longest serving member in our ranks. So it was a great turnout from the membership as we celebrated with Bush and his family. The Valley Independent Sentinel was there to cover the event and they even captured the Eagle Hose "choir" singing Happy Birthday.

...and just 2 weeks prior we celebrated Jay Murphy's 91st birthday in our Canal Room. Must be something in the water at Eagle Hose???

Past Captains & Old Timers Night

On Saturday, April 16th, Eagle Hose held their annual Past Captains and Old Timers Night. Honored this evening were: Fred Tidmarsh and Arthur Seccombe (40 years); Victor Tylinski, Frank Halpin and Arthur Judson (35 years); and Marcello Boanno and John Thomson III (30 years). In addition, Howie Williams was presented with the coveted Cliff Tidmarsh Award for his many years of faithful service to Eagle Hose.

Many thanks go out to Chef Louie Uvino and his Posse for the spread they put out and all the hard work that went into this special evening. Also, thanks to Joe Matusovich for the work he put into the video presentations.

We Do Roofs Too...

Well, on City buildings anyway...

Crews were called upon recently to assist in the clearing of snow from the roofs of several City buildings. Truck 7 was used to hoist snowblowers on to roofs, and members also cleared snow from the bucket.

...wait 'til the Fire Commissioners see this bill...
